What is the opportunity?

To support our mission, we’re looking for a Visual Designer. This individual will play a critical role in designing and refining brand identity and marketing assets, as well as creative solutions for our app. They will work closely with the Mydoh design team and heavily collaborate with others in engineering, marketing, revenue, and customer success. We’re looking for someone who wants to push and elevate our new brand while being detail-oriented and organized. The ideal candidate will actively contribute to our design system, and have the ability to weave iconography, typography, colour, space, and texture to improve our visual interfaces and outputs across channels. 

What will you do?

  • Expand and leverage our current brand guidelines to prepare and deliver assets
  • Conceptualize and create marketing assets, including website design, digital and social campaigns, digital publications, and other marketing material
  • Design assets for our app including icons, illustrations, and animations 
  • Work within a close-knit design team on various projects to better the end-to-end experience of our mobile app and other channels
  • Effectively rationalize and communicate your ideas and designs to the team and stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to reach clarity and alignment on small to large ideas to enhance our brand

Must Have

  • 3-5 years of visual design experience or a similar role
  • A portfolio that demonstrates your design skills and conceptual thinking
  • Strong aesthetic skills, and a demonstrated understanding of core graphic design principles with respect to typography, layout/composition, grid systems, colour, photography, iconography, etc 
  • Proficiency in design tools such as: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
  • Ability to source authentic, compelling, candid, stock photography
  • Undergraduate degree in Design (e.g. advertising, interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial) or a related field or equivalent work experience

Nice To Have

  • Experience in Banking or Financial Services
  • Knowledge and/or hands-on experience working in rapid product development and an agile environment
  • Experience in digital experiences for children and/or gaming experiences
  • Experience in video production and editing
