What are the differences between my child’s digital and physical Smart Cash Card?

Great question! Your child’s Mydoh Smart Cash Card is a reloadable digital and physical Visa Prepaid Card, issued by Royal Bank of Canada.

The key difference between the two is that your child’s physical card is designed for in-store purchases and their digital card is for online purchases or purchases made in-store with their device. To get into the nitty gritty of your child’s Smart Cash Card, check out the breakdown below. 🙂

Digital Card

  • Online purchases.
  • Has a visible card number, expiry date, and CVV code.
  • $500 per transaction limit.
  • Can be used for in-store purchases through Apple Wallet*.
  • Will not work for ATM/cash withdrawal transactions.

Physical Card

  • In-store purchases.
  • Tap or insert the card, no pin required.
  • No visible card number or CVV – Mydoh’s physical card uses a digital first design!
  • $200 per transaction limit.
  • Will not work for ATM/cash withdrawal transactions.
