Whether emptying the dishwasher or feeding the dog, your kids learn the value of earning money, and you get extra help around the house.
Go to the Earn screen in the app and tap on “Add a Task.”
Choose a task category or customize your own.
Fill in the title (such as dusting) and any additional details (like “Be careful not to break anything”), then mark it as a one-off or recurring task.
Set the completion date for a one-time task, or if it’s a recurring task, set the days of the week the task needs to happen.
Enter an amount that you would like to pay your child, and tap "Create Task".
Good work! The task has been created. Go back to Earn to create more.
When your kids complete the task and mark the task as completed in their account, they’ll get paid on Pay Day, which happens every Saturday. So, as long as your kids complete their tasks on time, money will automatically move from your account to their account.
A weekly Pay Day helps kids learn about budgeting and making their money last — until the next Pay Day.
From your account, you can see how your kids are doing with their tasks and if they’re on track or overdue.
From their account, your kids can view all of the tasks and mark the ones they’ve done as completed. They can also view their potential earnings for the week.
Most of us have to work for a living, and getting paid for work you’ve done is a really good feeling.
Remember when you got your first pay 💰?
Why not have a conversation with your kids about working, earning and spending that money responsibly? Your kids will probably get a laugh out of how much pay has increased and how little things cost way back when you got your first job.
Go to the "Earn" screen.
Tap on "Weekly Allowance".
Set a payment amount.
Tap "Save" and you’re done!
1. Kids can pay in-store with their Mydoh Smart Card anywhere Visa and tap is accepted.
