FAQs
The Smart Cash Card is issued by the Royal Bank of Canada and is completely secure. To keep your child secure, Mydoh doesn’t store their card information and only displays it when your child asks for it. When displaying this information, Mydoh encrypts all the data in transit and only decrypts it for display purposes.
Mydoh uses modern technology and up-to-date privacy, authorization, and authentication standards backed by the Royal Bank of Canada. All data is stored safely and all sensitive data is encrypted. For added security, your child’s card doesn’t have the card number displayed and isn’t required to make in-store purchases. For online purchases, accessing the card number requires a 2-step verification process in the app.
Mydoh keeps you in the loop with real-time spending notifications and the ability to see your child’s spend history directly in the app. This creates great opportunities for families to have thoughtful money conversations together.
The primary parent should log in to their account, select their child’s name on the Spend screen, tap Manage Card, then lock the physical card to prevent any unauthorized transactions from being processed. They can then reorder a classic Smart Cash Card at no additional cost, or a Mydoh by Me card for an additional $6.99 on the Manage Card screen.
